FTI Consulting Adds Digital Forensics and E-Discovery Expert as Managing Director in India

Mumbai, India, Feb. 21, 2024 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the addition of Sumakanth Yepuri as a Managing Director within the Technology segment in Mumbai. Mr. Yepuri brings a wide range of digital forensics, e-discovery and information governance expertise to support clients in India across the spectrum of digital insights and risk management.

Mr. Yepuri has more than 18 years of experience advising clients with digital evidence and data challenges in IP theft, harassment, fraud, litigation and other matters. He also has managed large, global e-discovery engagements and has extensive experience automating workflows across collection, processing, hosting and review. In recent years, he has increasingly helped clients address emerging data sources issues in collection and processing.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Yepuri held senior consulting roles in digital forensics and information governance, privacy and security at two Big Four firms. His experience includes establishing and managing digital forensics teams in India and the U.S. and supporting multi-jurisdiction matters from numerous countries. He has supported assessments and implementations at large healthcare and technology companies in support of compliance with global data protection laws, including the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). He also developed a data science team within a Big Four firm to help clients enable data management functions for new forms of data.
