David Meadows leads FTI Technology’s Canada and U.S. Midwest teams, specializing in cyber incident response data mining, e-discovery, data analytics and digital forensics. Mr. Meadows has assisted clients in the financial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, government, telecom, high-technology, energy and mining industries with all aspects of technology to analyze data for investigations and litigation.

With more than 25 years of experience in global investigations, civil litigation, class action litigation, multiparty litigation and regulatory matters, Mr. Meadows specializes in cybersecurity and data breach cases, including investigating breaches related to business email compromise. In response to these and other high-stakes incidents, he helps clients contain the cost and risk associated with data analysis, e-discovery and notifications. Utilizing his strong project management and technical expertise, Mr. Meadows has significant experience with complex data analysis, information planning, data preservation, data collection, data processing and data visualization. Additionally, he has a broad technology background, covering enterprise networking, software design and development and system implementations.

Prior to joining FTI Technology, Mr. Meadows served as a managing director at EY in the Forensic & Integrity Services practice, where he led large‐scale e-discovery, forensic data analytics, fraud triangle analytics and advanced technical implementations.

Dera Nevin is a data lawyer and expert with more than 20 years of experience addressing digital risk issues, including privacy, data protection, information risk management, e-discovery and the application of emerging technologies to the delivery of legal services and compliance programs. Supporting clients in the United States and Canada, Ms. Nevin specializes in applying artificial intelligence, automation and synthetic data strategies to complex client challenges. She is also an experienced client advisor in the field of AI governance and the risk and opportunities at the intersection of AI and data privacy.

Ms. Nevin works closely with corporate and law firm clients to establish litigation and regulatory readiness programs, as well as benchmark and operationalize technology-forward data compliance frameworks. She has expertise in developing, testing and validating compliance frameworks and testing controls and compensating controls for the use, movement, deletion, transfer and transformation of sensitive and personal data in highly regulated industries. In supporting litigation, regulatory investigations and multijurisdictional mergers and acquisitions for clients, Ms. Nevin helps clients navigate cross-border challenges and use technology to acquire, process and present data.

An expert across numerous areas of Digital Insights & Risk Management, Ms. Nevin is known for her work in e-discovery, legal process automation and privacy engineering. She is regarded as a visionary and leader in the treatment of sensitive and personal data.

Ms. Nevin’s experience includes supporting global organizations in regulated sectors across information governance, proactive privacy, data protection compliance, breach response, regulatory investigations, technology implementation, e-discovery and the development of litigation readiness programs. She has facilitated privacy and data protection assessment programs and advised on scoping frameworks for privacy assessments and audits. She has also helped investment advisors navigate privacy equity and make investment decisions related to privacy, data risk and data monetization.

Prior to joining FTI Technology, Ms. Nevin was the Data Policy and Strategy Officer at Blackstone, Inc., where she developed and oversaw global privacy, data protection, information risk management and data science compliance programs.
