Podcast (in French) | Competition Authorities' Search: What to Expect During the Lockdown Period?
The competition authorities have not, a priori, conducted any searches since the first lockdown in March 2020. However, anti-competitive practices have not stopped during the health crisis and there is no doubt that the authorities' willingness to investigate any serious risk of infringement of free competition remains unchanged. In this episode, our forensics expert Thomas Sely and our public affairs expert Guillaume Binoche will discuss the ability of the authorities to conduct searches in the current health crisis context. They will consider the different scenarios and possible modus operandi for computer seizures, as well as the measures to take to best prepare for this eventuality. They will be joined in this discussion by Laura Castex, counsel in Gide's Antitrust team.
